Are you getting the best deal in this market? Unfortunately, most buyers and sellers don't think they can get a good deal in this market. In many cases, they're wrong. That's because
most real estate agents and their clients pursue buying and selling with the same kind of information, negotiating tactics and marketing strategies
they used a few years ago. But those strategies don't work the same. Buyers aren't finding the home they want or are overpaying for it. Sellers
aren't selling or aren't getting enough. Regardless, they're unnecessarily losing money.
There is better information and better strategies.Why do real estate gurus always say there's more money to be made in a down market
than a rising one? Opportunity. But with increased opportunity comes increased risk. Market conditions now vary widely in Los Angeles, even within a
neighborhood. Some areas are at or near the bottom, other areas are not. Regardless, there are tremendous deals to be found and effective ways to actually get your home sold. Yes, buying and selling a home in this market can be more profitable with better information and better strategies.
Many have enough information to be dangerous. You may read the L.A. Times or research real estate online, but most people usually don't have the right
information about the specific neighborhoods they're interested. Most real estate agents just tell their clients whatever they want to hear.
And a lot of people think if they've been through one real estate transaction, they know all they need to make it through another. But in LA.,
there are so many potential complications. Plus, negotiating or marketing strategies that worked in one deal often don't work with another.
Make informed decisions and you'll make more money.We believe we either have the best information or know how to get it. I've seen all the problems
that can doom a real estate transaction up close, not only as an agent, but from working in the escrow business, an important perspective most agents
lack. Finally, I'm constantly keeping up with the best marketing and negotiating strategies. There's a reason, I write articles, blogs
and books about real estate. It's not to sound intelligent at cocktail parties. It's to help my clients make more money. You
